About
Natural Intuition was founded by three partners with diverse experience and interests. We are all professionals and parents and we share the common bond of wanting to provide the healthiest homes for our families.
Stacy Shinas
CEO
Stacy Shinas and her husband John are the founders and owners of Jack Be Natural, LLC, an online company that specializes in products that promote natural parenting choices. Jack Be Natural was born out of Stacy and John’s concern for their own children’s health and well being, and their desire to help educate parents like themselves on the many ways to lessen exposure to dangerous toxins and other hazards in baby products.
Stacy and her family, which includes two sons, Jake, age 4, and Nathan, age 2, make conscious decisions on a daily basis to use natural and organic products in their home, and take an active approach to researching the accuracy of claims made by various groups and organizations. As a middle-class family, they understand that most people cannot afford to waste money on products that are not effective, so they take their job seriously.
Creating a blog which would help other parents navigate this important but often confusing and overwhelming territory was Stacy’s idea. Hence, Natural Intuition was born!
Kelley Crowe
CMO
Kelley is a mom of two young children, Landyn, 3, and Lavery, 1. Her desire to live a more natural lifestyle began when her son was around 18 months old and she decided to make the switch from disposables to cloth diapers. She had researched modern cloth diapering little before Landyn was born, but still thought cloth diapering was all about pins and folded cloth. After a series of bad rashes, she researched it some more and realized it was far different than she imaged. With her husband on board, they made the switch and have never looked back!
Embracing cloth diapering was the start of a more natural lifestyle overall for Kelley and her family. By slowly replacing harmful chemicals and toxins with more “green” alternatives, Kelley has also realized the importance of supporting companies which share the same values she does.
Kelley is also a successful blogger (www.ForeversLikeaDream.com) and active in her local community of Charlotte, North Carolina. She serves on the committee for a local baby expo in the Charlotte area, All About Baby – Charlotte, and is a member of the Charlotte Media Collaboration. She has previously planned events and written for a local parenting site, The Charlotte Moms, as well.
Allison Jaquier
Editor in Chief
Allison is the proud and busy mom of Charlotte, age 5, and twins Sophie and Evie, who turned one in April. A self-described “work-at-home-somewhat-
crunchy-blessed-but-tired- mommy,” Allison spends many a day digging through heaps of laundry for matching dresses and fresh-smelling “lovies.” She has always believed in the importance of living a natural and healthy lifestyle, but like many others, her commitment grew with the birth of her children. Some of her current interests include cloth diapering, clean eating, babywearing and eco-friendly fashion and design. Prior to having the twins, Allison worked full-time outside the home in the realm of public relations and community affairs. She has experience in marketing and PR and has also served on a number of boards within her community. She loves to write, although some days she is lucky to string together complete sentences.
